A cord of three strands is not quickly broken(Ecclesiastes 4:12) Pr. Tony John, Panvel

In Genesis 2, God gave man three gifts – a marriage partner (Eve), a home to live in (Eden) and a work to do (as a gardener). These are the three things that many young people are seeking for today. God was interested in providing all three for Adam and He is interested in providing all three for His children today.
In marriage, a man should be such an example to the woman, that he will be able to say , “Follow me as I follow Christ”. He will seek to lead her to be connected to Christ alone.
When God made Eve, it was in order that she might be a helper suitable for man (Genesis. 2:18). The glory of this ministry is seen, when we notice that the title of ‘Helper’ is what Jesus used to refer to the Holy Spirit as well (John. 14:16). As the Holy Spirit invisibly and silently, yet powerfully helps the believer, even so the woman was created to help the man.
When God Himself is between a husband and wife, where each person and the partner in the marriage seek to put the Lord first in their personal life, they will be glued together. God is the greatest binding force in the universe. When He holds two people together, it is impossible for anybody to separate them, not the devil, not demons, not circumstances, not poverty, not the whole world.
Song of Solomon 4:16: Awake, O north wind, And come, wind of the south (the wind from the north is cold and the wind from the south is warm). Make my garden breathe out fragrance. Let its spices be wafted abroad. And may my Beloved Lord come into his garden and eat its choice fruits! In every marriage, we will face the cold north wind of adversity, and the warm south wind of prosperity. But when Jesus is our Head and we allow Him to control our lives, then whether we face adversity or prosperity, trial or comfort, both these winds will spread abroad the fragrance of Christ through us.
