30 September – International Translation Day, we’re praising God that his Word is in the majority of the world’s languages

International Translation Day is an international day celebrated every year on 30 September on the feast of St. Jerome, the Bible translator who is considered the patron saint of translators. The celebrations have been promoted by International Federation of Translators (FIT) ever since it was set up in 1953. World Bible Translation Day allows to highlight Bible translation as an ongoing need and basic tool in global evangelism.

President of Wycliffe Associates Bruce Smith  explained that Communism and Terrorism threatens Christianity in this era, so the word of God is the ultimate tool to change the life and the world.

For centuries, translators have endured difficult living conditions and impossible work environments for the great cause of sharing the good news of Christ

Thanks to centuries of translation work, God’s Word is now in 3,000 languages, reaching 6 billion people.
