A Faithful Fighter’s Farewell- Home Going Service of Unnichayan
Though we will miss him greatly, we rejoice in Unnichayan's triumphant return to his Heavenly Father.
‘God shall wipe all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away’
Born on February 28, 1949 in an Orthodox Hindu family to Keralite parents, Late Mr. Chellappa Kurup and Late Mrs. Jankiamma in Madappally, Chavara, Kollam, Mr. Ramachandran Pillai came to Rajasthan in the year 1970 in pursuit of a job, where he met his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in Sri Ganganagar (Rajasthan) on February 28, 1971, through Rev. K. M. Skariah, who had pioneered an Assemblies of God church in the city. Then he witnessed the Lord through water baptism on February 24, 1972, which was a remarkable day in his life.
Being in faith, he faced many oppositions and was thrown out of the house but never looked back in his Christ-filled journey with the Master and Lord Jesus Christ. Along came Stancy A, a firm believer who had received the Lord and left all her Catholic traditions. They got married on September 25, 1975. This embarked a strong venture in the path of their faith and prayer life. God blessed them with three sons who are the pacesetters in the extraordinary and supernatural ministry of the Lord.
He was a hero in faith and passionate laborer in the vineyard of the Lord, along with his govt job in Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (Electricity Board), Rajasthan. It was his passionate dedication towards the souls for His kingdom that if there are missionary works in the districts of Hanumangarh and Ganganagar, he had a vital part in it. Another proof of his enthusiasm that his children are serving the Master in their various capacities.
He breathed his last on June 15, 2019, at 9.35 pm, a day prior to ‘Father’s Day’. He was really a Pappa and Aauji (elder brother of the father) to many in the Lord and to the villagers of Tibbi in Rajasthan where he and his family spent most part of their life.
